Snooki may not be appearing on Jersey Shore after the fifth season.

MTV is reportedly going to recast the show, since the cast has become too famous and too expensive for the show to continue to air.

According to a Jersey Shore producer, after the cast shoots the fifth season, that will be the end for them.

Fights with each Jersey Shore cast member over salary jumps will be a thing of the past, as new stars will be a lot cheaper.

Currently, each cast member is earning over $100,000 per episode. MTV knows that they can produce the show with a new cast, that can be just as fun and wild, while paying them only a thousand dollars per episode.

The current cast will leave on a high note. Most of the cast have gotten their own spin-off reality shows, so there’s really no point in having them on several different reality shows at the same time.

Unlike the E! network, where the Kardashians are on every single reality show, the current cast of Jersey Shore will be seen more sparingly on the MTV network.
